I should never blog about writing going well. I'm struggling with changing the front of this book. There was a character arc I'd created around Louis XIV that I really like, and it's lost in the changes, and I'm trying to salvage it, and it's hard. Whine, whine, whine

Is there some reason why "Athenais de Montespan" is listed as a tag in this post? I'm just curious about this, as she's my favorite historical figure! I hope she's not the character whose arc has been lost in the changes. She adds such spice to every historical novel in which she's used -- not that she's in very many of them. Pity.

Hi, Athenais fan.....she has a very small part in this novel because in this period of time in Louis's life she had, well, a very small part. Thanks for asking....Karleen
