Today, my editor and I agreed the book is to go to copyediting. There are 2 small points she'd like to see addressed, but they can be addressed in a sentence as part of the copy edits.

I'm done.

It just seems amazing. I can hardly believe it. My husband told me, take some deep breaths, take it in. This book has had a lot of what the spiritual ones call second force. It's been around since 1996. It took me until 2006 to realize I had to break it into pieces. The cast of characters numbers in the thousands (not really, but it's big.) Deciding whose story it was, deciding how to handle the politics (boring to us....too many years ago), deciding how to handle the love was just hard.

But it's done. I've taken those fabulous four months in Louis XIV's life, when he was tender and smart and learning, and made a story out of them. Thanks so much to the boy in the iron mask. It keeps the plot moving.

I'm done. I'm done. I'm done. Publication date is June 2011. The sales staff of Crown was happy to have another book from me. That's nice. Now if readers will be happy, too.....

Hi Karleen,

Can you please tell me if you will have another book following Now Face to Face??????I am completely addicted to the characters and the story line. The ending of the book was left so open for another book.

There is another story to tell about Barbara, but it isn't going to happen soon. If you'll look at the home page, where I talk about blogs, there is a post called Psychic Order, which talks about the order of the books in my imagination. Unfortunately, it isn't in chronological order. Karleen

Dear Karleen, I have just finished Now Face to Face and have been online looking for the sequel with total disappointment. The book had such a sudden cliffhanger to its end that I cannot wait until the next one. Thank you!
